We require a skilled and highly motivated individual to join our established team of Progress and Welfare Advisors. You will have the passion to inspire every student to reach their full potential regardless of their starting point.

Here’s the standard bit: - You will provide effective and high quality Pastoral and Safeguarding supportin accordance with the College’s pastoral and safeguarding responsibilities. You will work alongside curriculum staff and the wider Progress Team to provide effective strategies which meet the needs of individual students by removing barriers to learning. You will pro-actively promote the safety and wellbeing of students throughout the college. You will have a specific case load of students whilst being on hand to deal with any Pastoral and Safeguarding issues which may arise on a daily basis
What you’ll need: - You will have a proven track record of safeguarding or pastoral support ideally in an educational setting. You will be experienced in the appropriate mechanisms for dealing with safeguarding and child protection issues. You will have a sound understanding of the range of issues facing young people with barriers to their learning (including social, emotional and behavioural) and have an ability to motivate students with a diverse range of needs. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and empathy in working with students, ability to remain calm and a problem solving approach to managing challenging situations.
